This is the standard referrence book on the topic. Another must own book if this is your interest. When this book was first published in 1970 it provided the collector of Staffordshire portait figures with a vast photographic reference to the fifteen hundred or so portrait figures which were produced in the nineteenth century. This book is a revised edition with additional photos and an easier to follow layout. This is an invaluable work, not only because of the wide range of information it contains but also because it looks at collecting pitfalls such as forgeries, fakes, reproductions and repairs.
