Spyderco Ceramic Sharpening Stones and Slips
Spyderco ceramic sharpening stones utilize alumina particles, bonded in a ceramic material, as their active ingredient. Alumina particles are synthetic sapphires, and are hard enough to sharpen any type of steel. For high tech modern steels like A2, or V10, or any of the other exotic steels used in tool and cutlery manufacture today, the Spyderco ceramics stones will often outperform traditional types of oil and water stones. Spyderco ceramic stones do not require a cutting fluid and can be used dry.

Single Grit Cased Spyderco Bench Stones
| Because Spyderco's benchstones are flat and broad they are highly effective for honing wide tools like plane irons, chisels, large blades, woodworking equipment, even ski edges. Available in Medium (pictured), Fine or Ultrafine grits, each 2"x8"x1/2" stone comes packaged in a rigid polymer storage case complete with non-skid rubber feet for tabletop use. As with all of Spyderco's ceramic stones, use the benchstones dry without lubricants or oils. To clean: wash with fresh water and scrub metal particles from the stones with a plastic scouring pad and abrasive powdered cleanser. |

| Spyderco’s 3" X 8" X 1/4" ultra-fine ceramic benchstone is flat, thin and ultra smooth for professionally finishing and sharpening wide tools like chisels, large blades, wood-working equipment, plane irons, even ski and snowboard edges. The stone is thin and light enough for hand held use, taking the sharpening surface directly to larger items. We recommend when tabletop sharpening, using the stone on top of its’ suede carrying case for slip free use. To clean the stone, wash it in fresh water and scrub with a powdered abrasive cleaner and a scouring pad. Rinse and air dry. |
