Deluxe Universal Sharpening System #447
Designed to work with standard bench grinders, the Robert Sorby Deluxe Universal Sharpening System replaces the stanard tool rest that comes with a bench grinder with a far more capable system that allows fast, accurate and repeatable sharpening of most woodworking tools. The Robert Sorby Sharpening System is easy to install, with full adjustment of platform height and angle. The robust all steel construction of the Robert Sorby Sharpening System is built to last. Suitable for woodturning and carving tools, plane blades, bench chisels and many other type of edge tools. Included with the Robert Sorby Deluxe Universal Sharpening System is a fingernail profile attachment, angle finder and full instruction sheet. (The standard model, which we do not offer, does not include the fingernail profile attachment.) The Fingernail Profiler included with the Deluxe version of the Robert Sorby Univeral Sharpening System is an easy to use jig that can create or replicate the fingernail profile on turning gouges. Factory set by Robert Sorby to create a medium grind fingernail profile, but is fully adjustable to suit individual requirements.

Robert Sorby also offers additional sharpening jigs for the Universal sharpening system to sharpen other types of chisels. These jigs require that you first install the Robert Sorby Jig Adapter Table #447JAT.
