How to store chisels without letting the edges get nicked, or nicking anything else, has always been a problem. Some woodworkers have the luxury of a fitted tool chest or workbench drawers to store their chisels in, but the most common solution by far has always been a chisel roll. For carvers and others who need to transport their chisels, there is no more convenient and safe means of storage than a chisel roll.

The "Wood is Good" line of chisel rolls are made from medium weight Denim. Traditional chisel rolls were often made from leather but the salts used in the tanning process often caused rust spots to form on chisels and we don't recommend leather rolls. The two larger size rolls shown here are custom made to our specifications and are larger than normal. The carving chisel rolls are the standard models. These rolls are all hand tailored in Nebraska.
