Henry Taylor Bevelled Firming Chisels
Henry Taylor bevel edged firming chisels are made in the style of American firming chisels of the first half of the 20th Century. These Henry Taylor chisels are socket style chisels with relatively long blades, which was the predominant style for American chisels starting in the late 19th Century and continuing on until the death of the American chisel industry, that started with the Depression and ended in the 1960s. From a distance, these Henry Taylor chisels could easy be mistaken for James Swan chisels, and frankly, they are just as good as most pre-war American socket chisels.
Henry Taylor Socket Firming Chisels
These Henry Taylor chisels are very popular with woodworkers who prefer a longer firming chisel.
Fitted with Henry Taylor's English beech handles.
Overall length approx. 13", blade length including socket 8 1/4".
