Auriou Carving Chisels
Auriou makes straight carving gouges in 3 styles, conventional, Allongee (Long Fishtail), and Short Fishtail. Whichever style of Auriou gouges you buy, you can rest assured that no better carving tools are made today than Auriou.
Note: The numbering system used here is based on the "London Pattern" system laid out by the English carving chisel makers in the 19th Century and the still the generally accepted standard in the English speaking world for classifying carving chisels. The French do not use this system, but for ease of selection we have translated the Auriou chisels into the equivalent "London Pattern" numbers where applicable.
