Quality chisel handles are almost as important as the blades themselves. A handle that fits properly and feels right is essential to using a chisel effectively. And not least important is the fact that nothing looks better than a nice set of chisels with pretty handles. We have contracted with the last remaining handle maker in Sheffield to make a line of handles for us. Drawing from our extensive antique chisel collection, we have chosen a handle in the "London Pattern" style to reproduce. These handles are available in both Rosewood and Boxwood in 5 different sizes. One of the biggest mistakes we see made in new chisels is that the handles are not sized appropriately to the chisel. In antique chisels the size of the handles were carefully chosen to match the chisel. By offering 5 different sizes of handles we make it possible have just the right size handle for each chisel.
