Sabatier Stainless Steel Germanic Pattern Knives

Some customers who did not grow up in the French tradition of cooking prefer the Germanic pattern of knives that are more common in American department stores and kitchens. For those customers who prefer the Germanic style of kitchen knife, but still appreciate the quality and mystique of hand ground French knives, Thiers-Issard introduced this line of Sabatier knives. These knives look very much like the popular German knives, but they are still true Sabatier knives through and through. The Germanic pattern of knives differ from the French pattern in that the bolster is much more square on the Germanic style and the blades are deeper on the Chef's (Cook's) knives.

Thiers-Issard have been hand-crafting knives in Thiers France, under the Sabatier brand with the **** Elephant logo, since 1884. Forged out of a single blank of steel, Thiers-Issard Sabatier knives, with their full tang, provide the perfect balance and alignment for comfortable use all day long.
