Bamboo, a grass, grows rapidly (some varieties growing over four feet a day), which means it can be harvested in 3-4 years, as opposed to 15-20 years it takes for hardwoods.
These TimberGrass Bamboo Cutting Boards are smooth as silk and tough as steel. Harder than maple and lighter than oak, TimberGrass Bamboo Cutting Boards naturally resist cuts and scratches, and resist moisture making it the ideal choice for everyday use in your kitchen, special occasions, and entertaining.
Each distinctive piece of TimberGrass Bamboo kitchenware is handcrafted by laminating together hundreds of tiny flattened bamboo strips with special food safe glue. Timbergrass offers three grain types: Vertical, showing bamboo slats on edge; Flat, showing slats laid face up, highlighting the bamboo nodes; and End showing a cross section of the slats. TimberGrass Bamboo Cutting Boards are available in either natural or a deep caramel color that is achieved by a special stem-heating process that darkens the sugar compounds in bamboo. These are natural colors that won't fade or wash out. No stains or dyes are used.

Food Safe Mineral Oil
With minimal care, you can keep your new Timbergrass Bamboo Cutting Board smooth as silk, tough as steel, and looking beautiful. It is recomended that you wipe your TimberGrass Bamboo Cutting Board periodically with mineral oil to bring out the beautiful grain of the bamboo and keep it from drying out.
