Unlike other scholarly tombs written on Windsor chairs, this book makes no attempt to be a comprehensive study, instead focusing on 18th Century chairs. This book is primarily a photographic catalog of the best examples of every form of Windsor chair. The photographs are truly sumptuous, showing each piece to its best advantage. While the emphasis is on 18th Century British examples, American Windsor chairs get a fair shake as well. On the cover is what must be the most beautiful Windsor chair that I have ever seen. If you love the Windsor style, you will cherish this book.
