Some of the finest handsaws ever made were produced in the early 20th century by four of the leading manufacturers: E.C. Atkins & Co. of Indianapolis, Henry Disston & Sons of Philadelphia, Simonds Manufacturing Co. of Fitchburg, Mass., and Spear & Jackson of Sheffield, England. This collection reproduces the hand saw section from a major catalog issued during this period by each of these four manufacturers.
