This is an unusual object, you usually only see these pieces with many different colors. This is the first I have seen done in just this cobolt blue. It is marked cobolt blue and some numbers on the bottom, perhaps this was a test for the color? Also marked with the Rorstrand Logo and GN. Excellent condition. Approx. 4 1/2" high and 5" across. This is an unusual shape by Nylund, I have only ever seen one before. It is assymetrical if you look from the top. 5" high and approx. 3 1/2" wide. Nice glaze, interesting shape and first quality. The condition is very good but it does have a couple of silvery lines on the outside. Item# AN20751604

The ARU shape is one of my favorite shapes of Nylund pottery. It is so simple, yet so elegeant. This piece has undertones in blue. It measures 3 1/2" high and 5" in diameter. Marked as a second, probably because of two small white spots where the color hasn't covered properly. One spot is on the rim and one on the foot. Doesn't detract at all in my opinion, but priced as a second. Excellent condition. Item# AN2060614

I had to buy this one since I really like the glaze in combination with the white rim. This is an absolutely magnificent vase by Gunnar Nylund, Rorstrand, Sweden. It is very similar in shape and glaze to a Friberg vase, which is as big a compliment as I can give! This large vase measures 11 1/2" tall and approx 3 1/4" at its widest point. The form is so elegant and the glaze is stunning. Factory First and fully signed on the bottom. Mint condition. This is about as good as it gets in Gunnar Nylund pottery. Item# AN20610316

This is a very unusual piece by Stalhane, it is in fact unique! It is a small bowl, 5 1/2" across and 1 1/4" high. The design is handpainted by Mr Stalhane himself, it is not a Studio piece painted by someone else after his design. Fully signed by the man himself on the back. The paint is slightly faded on the rim on the right hand side but it must be from production. Excellent condition and a highly recommended, unusual piece. Item# AN208051605

The SOC pattern one of my favorite CHS shapes, I think it is very elegant. This one is marked as second quality due to thickening of the glaze at the bottom. It also has some black dots in the glaze at the rim that I am sure weren't meant to be there. Good condition overall but it has some silvery lines on the outside and also a chip on the bottom where the glaze was very thick. It is not very noticeable since the glaze is uneven all the way around anyway. I usually don't list chipped items but I didn't think it mattered too much on this piece. It is also priced accordingly. This is a stunning large vase by Stalhane. Second quality, probably due to some glazez pops. It has a reptil-like pattern that starts at the top and fades towards the bottom. 12" high and 2 5/8" in diameter at the top. It has been used as a vase so it has some faint marks on the inside, and one fleabite out of the bottom ring which can only be seen if you lift it up. Otherwise good condition. One of my favorites! It is marked as a second, probably due to the fact that the glaze is a bit thick around the bottom. There is also a couple of very thin cracks in the glaze there due to the thickening of the glaze. This is a very unusual item by Carl-Harry Stalhane for Rorstrand, Sweden. It's a flask with an equestrian theme in blue. One side shows what looks to be a horse race and on the other side the winner is presented with a prize. The flask measures 5" high including the lid and approx. 3 1/2" wide. This little bowl is marked as a second as there are some bubbles in the glaze. There is one spot on the inside (3/16") that is quite obvious. It measures 1 1/2" high and 3 3/4" across. This dish is from the end of the 19th C, done in a brow majolica type glaze. It is part of a series, I have seen horses, dogs and a walrus and there are probably other animals in the same series out there. Probably designed as an ashtray but makes a great dish for peanuts! I think the monkey is supposed to look sweet, but I think it looks evil.... Anyway, it's a fun piece. It measures 4 1/2" high and 5 1/4" across. No chips or cracks but there is crazing throught, which is to be expected on this type of glaze. Also some slight discoloration on the bottom. A neat piece if you like unusual items! This vase really belongs in the category Antique Ceramics since it is over 100 years old but I still think it fits so well in with the pieces in the Swedish Modern category. Love the form and the glaze and colors are just amazing. It measures 8" high and approx. 3 1/2" in diameter at its widest point. No chips or cracks but there is crazing throughout as is to be expected. The Rorstrand mark dates it to the 1890s. A rare, beautiful piece. Item# AN207264

An unusual shape in Rorstrand Black. It was designed by Karl Lindström and is marked on the bottom with his initials. The box measures 5 1/8" in diameter. Unfortunately, there are 2 chips, a small one on the lid and a slightly larger one on the inside of the rim of the bottom of the box. This one doesn't show when the lid is on.
